Architecture student at Beirut Arab University. Six studio projects across Byblos, Gemmayzeh, Jnah and beyond — built around light, material memory and the people who use the space.

Selected projects

Third & fourth year — 06 projects
01
Third year

Architecture Firm Headquarters

LocationByblos, Lebanon
TypeWorkplace & exhibition
StructureConcrete shell, timber interior
Year2025

Headquarters for a contemporary practice, stepping down the layered topography of Byblos so the building reads as terrain. A courtyard and exhibition zone open the studio to the city, while perforated stone screens and arched openings modulate the light and echo regional construction.

02
Third year

Folded Light — Temporary Art Gallery

LocationGemmayzeh, Beirut
TypeTemporary art gallery
StructureFolded wooden panels
Year2025

Drawn from the arched windows and street life of Gemmayzeh, a folded timber system bends with light, movement and the existing trees. Indoor and outdoor rooms alternate along a shaded public trail, giving the neighbourhood a place to gather, exhibit and pass through.

03
Third year

Domes in Dialogue — A Living Geometry

TypeBotanical conservatory & research
StructureModular geodesic domes
SiteForested hillside
Year2025

A cluster of lightweight geodesic domes follows the contours of a wooded slope. The central dome holds a multi-climate conservatory; the smaller ones carry research labs, observation decks and teaching exhibits, with paths that merge into the landscape rather than cut through it.

04
Fourth year

Affordable Housing Residential Complex

ConceptThe Triangle of Power
TypeResidential community
ForStudents, families, workers
Year2025

Three gathering areas replace rigid urban axes, giving each of the three resident groups a shared ground without giving up privacy. Stepped clusters, courtyards and green terraces organise daily life, with moss concrete and natural materials keeping the carbon load low.

05
Fourth year

Feminism Future Hub

LocationJnah, Beirut
TypeEducational & cultural centre
GeometryThree intersecting arcs
Year2025

A hybrid learning and cultural centre for women, organised around three intersecting arcs that stand for movement, connection and growth. A raised exhibition hall anchors the composition; shaded public space, fluid circulation and sustainable strategies keep the ground floor open to the city.

Fourth year

Lebanon Civilization Museum — Museum of the Missed

TypeExperiential cultural museum
ThemeMemory, identity, lost heritage
MaterialEngraved limestone
Year2025

Built on Phoenician history and the idea of “The Missed”, the museum moves visitors through a sequence of emotional rooms — engraved limestone façades, water courts, artifact halls and a suspended digital installation — with passive cooling, stack ventilation and controlled daylight doing the environmental work.

About

Beirut Arab University
Portrait of Farah Saad
Farah Saad — Architecture

I design buildings that stay close to their site — its climate, its stone, and the habits of the people who will use it.

My studio work moves between cultural, residential and public programmes: a firm headquarters stepping down the terraces of Byblos, a folded timber gallery in Gemmayzeh, a housing community shaped around three social groups, and a museum built on memory and loss. Across all of them I work with daylight, courtyards, natural materials and low-carbon strategies as the starting point rather than a finishing layer.

I am currently completing my architecture degree at Beirut Arab University and looking for internship and junior architect opportunities in Lebanon and the region.
